Smithtown, NY – Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident at Terry Road

Smithtown, NY (February 9, 2019) – In Smithtown, a woman was fatally struck in a serious pedestrian accident last night, February 8. Police allege she was struck by two vehicles.

Police reported that the accident took place at the intersection of Terry Road and Route 347 around midnight last night. The woman who lost her life has since been identified as 30-year-old Kelly Goncalves of Ronkonkoma.

At first, police ruled the accident as a hit-and-run. However, they discovered that both drivers have since come forward. Neither of the drivers have received charges at this time.

The roadway was closed down for several hours following the accident. The investigation into the matter continues at this time.
