Staten Island, NY – Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Private Ambulance

Staten Island, NY (February 3, 2019) – This morning around 10:30 a.m., a multi-vehicle crash took place involving multiple motor vehicles and a privately-owned ambulance.

The accident, according to police, resulted in injuries to seven people and took place near the intersection of Jewett and Post Avenues. One patient was badly injured and transported by the FDNY to the hospital and others either refused medical attention or were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police said that, when the private ambulance was removed from the scene, it had damage to its front end. Police did not say if there were charges or not, but their investigation into the matter continues at this time.
