Genesee County, NY – Two People Killed in Fatal Accident on Route 98
Genesee County, NY (February 3, 2019) – On Saturday around 1 p.m. on Route 98, two people lost their lives in a fatal accident and have since been identified by police.
New York State Police investigated the accident to find that a driver lost control of her vehicle due to snow on the roadways. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 53-year-old Teresa Norton, whose vehicle spun out in front of a pickup truck, causing a collision.
Norton and her son, 22-year-old Thomas Norton, were killed at the scene of the crash. The weather conditions were a whiteout at the time.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as a 59-year-old man from Albion who was taken to the hospital with injuries and is expected to be okay.
Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
