Great Neck, NY – Queens Man Charged After Pedestrian Crash

Great Neck, NY (February 2, 2019) – A Queens man identified as Farbod Hoorizadeh was charged in connection with a burglary attempt and a pedestrian crash where he dragged a victim.

The incident happened on Thursday around 3 p.m. when Shimon Mourtil arrived home to find Hoorizadeh attempting to break into his home. There was a struggle.

Hoorizadeh bit the victim on his arm and then got into his vehicle in the driveway. He put the vehicle in reverse and struck the victim with his vehicle, dragging him. Shimon Mourtil was taken to the hospital with knee injuries due to the accident.

Hoorizadeh was arrested at the scene of the incident by police. Authorities say that he had been attempting to burglarize the same home on Monday. Now he is being held on $30,000 bail as police continue their investigation.
