Dryden, NY – Update: Police Identify Victim of Fatal Pedestrian Accident
Dryden, NY (February 1, 2019) – Authorities have released the identity of the man who was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident that took place along Turkey Hill Road on Tuesday night, January 29 in the town of Dryden. Following an investigation, police were able to report that 54-year-old Michael S. English was the man who had been struck and killed near the intersection with Stevenson Road.
According to authorities, English had been walking along Turkey Hill Road alongside a bicycle that he had been pushing when he was hit by a vehicle. The accident took place at around 7:09 p.m. and prompted responses from both police and emergency medical crews from Varna Fire and Rescue.
Emergency responders attempted to perform CPR on English but were unsuccessful as the victim was tragically pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the vehicle that struck English has only been identified as a 25-year-old woman from Ithaca. Authorities say that the driver stopped and cooperated and that no tickets have been issued at this time.
