Deer Park, NY – One Killed in Motorcycle Crash with SUV
Deer Park, NY (January 28, 2019) – On Sunday evening, January 27, police responded to a serious accident between an SUV and a motorcycle that tragically claimed the life of one man. Authorities stated that 24-year-old, Brendan Coolbaugh, of Bay Shore, died due to injuries he suffered in the crash that took place at around 5:00 p.m. in Deer Park.
According to police, Coolbaugh had been traveling north along Bay Shore Road on his motorcycle when he collided with an SUV for reasons that have not been stated at this time. The female driver of the SUV was reported to have been traveling with her five children when the accident occurred.
Police were immediately dispatched to the scene along with paramedics where they, unfortunately, pronounced Coolbaugh deceased. The driver of the SUV, as well as her children, were all transported to a nearby hospital to be evaluated. Authorities are actively conducting a detailed investigation into the crash.
