Penn Yan, NY – Two-Vehicle Accident Involving Tractor on Bath Road
Penn Yan, NY (January 27, 2019) – Deputies were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident that took place in Penn Yan on Saturday around 6 p.m. A pickup truck struck a farm tractor, according to police who investigated the accident.
Police say that 63-year-old Robert Cornell was driving northbound on Bath Road when he failed to maintain his lane and tried passing the tractor, driven by 23-year-old Daryl Reiff. Cornell rear-ended the trator, which caused Reiff to be ejected.
Reiff suffered abrasions due to the accident. Cornell was given citations for the accident after he passed on the right.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
