Niagara Falls, NY – Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Buffalo Avenue
Niagara Falls, NY (January 24, 2019) – Police in Niagara Falls have reported that a pedestrian was tragically struck and killed by a motor vehicle while crossing Buffalo Avenue in the city. The fatal accident was stated to have happened on Wednesday night, January 23, at around 8:00 p.m.
According to Niagara Falls Police, a pedestrian identified as 65-year-old Boyd Criswell, of Niagara Falls had been attempting to cross Buffalo Avenue in the 8700 block when he was struck by a car. The vehicle, operated by a 45-year-old local woman, had been traveling eastbound along the avenue when the accident occurred.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they immediately transported Criswell to Erie County Medical Center for hip and leg injuries. The victim was sadly pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later. The incident is currently under investigation by the Niagara Falls Police Crash Management team.
