Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, NY – Three Injured in Four-Alarm Fire on Schenck Ave
Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, NY (January 22, 2019) – Officials who were called to the scene of a serious fire on Monday night, January 21, stated that at least one civilian was hurt alongside two firefighters during a blaze that broke out in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn. The fire was reported to have started at a home on Schenck Avenue at an unspecified time.
According to FDNY officials, the fire broke out and was hard to contain due to the extreme cold and blowing winds that fed the flames. While details are limited at this time, paramedics stated that they attended to at least three injured parties, one of which was confirmed to be a civilian.
The extent of the injuries suffered by the resident has not been reported, however, all injuries were considered to be minor. Authorities are likely to be involved in a thorough investigation at this time.
