Knox, NY – Man Injured Following Serious Snowmobile Crash Near Knox Cave Rd
Knox, NY (January 21, 2019) – According to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, a man suffered injuries after a snowmobile accident that took place in the town of Knox on Sunday, January 20. The accident was reported to have happened in a field just off of Knox Cave Road at an unspecified time.
Deputies stated that the driver of the snowmobile crashed into the back of a trailer for reasons that are currently unknown. Police are currently unclear as to the cause of the accident, however, speed is believed to have been a contributing factor. Emergency medical crews were sent to the scene where they transported the victim to Albany Medical Center.
Paramedics at the accident site said that they had attended to the victim at the scene where they treated him for a head and shoulder injury but was taken to the hospital a short time later. Police are likely to be investigating all the events that led to this incident at this time.
