Brooklyn, NY – Construction Worker Involved in Workplace Fall Accident on Ft. Hamilton Pkwy

Brooklyn, NY (January 20, 2019) – New York is notorious for having many construction zones, which means that there is always a likelihood that there will be accidents involving construction workers. On Friday afternoon, January 18, a construction worker was injured when he suddenly fell through a manhole at a construction site while operating a power tool. He had to be extricated by firefighters at the scene.

The male worker, whose name has not been released, was working at a site at 3491 Fort Hamilton Parkway when he suddenly fell down the hole in the middle of the street.

Multiple emergency responders arrived at the scene and were able to bring him up using a tower ladder. His condition is not known at this time.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of this accident.
