Westville, NY – Two-Car Accident Leaves One Injured on County Route 37
Westville, NY (January 19, 2019) – A two-car accident left one person seriously injured on County Route 37 when one person failed to notice a vehicle in their lane.
The accident took place when 48-year-old Theresa Brayton failed to notice a Ford Taurus being driven by 48-year-old Stuart Miller, who was in the oncoming lane headed toward her. Brayton attempted to turn left, which caused her vehicle to collide with the Taurus.
The impact of the collision was so forceful that the vehicle started to spin on the east side of the road. It then struck a Verizon junction box and came to a rest.
Miller was the only person injured in the accident and he was taken to the hospital with a back injury. Meanwhile, Brayton was ticketed for failing to yield the right-of-way.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
