Kennedy, NY – One Hurt After Vehicle Crashes into Home on Waterboro Hill Road
Kennedy, NY (January 18, 2019) – A Chautauqua County Sheriff Unit along with State Troopers responded to a crash that occurred after a vehicle slammed into a home on Wednesday, January 16. The accident, which involved a blatantly reckless driver, was reported to have occurred in the town of Kennedy at an unspecified time.
According to authorities, 33-year-old Benjamin Brooks, of Conewango Valley, had been driving a truck north on Waterboro Hill Road when he veered off the roadway and crashed into a home. The impact of the collision forced a large shelf inside the house to come loose and subsequently fall on top of a person who had been resting on a couch inside the residence.
The innocent victim inside the home was treated by the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department for injuries that were classified as non-life-threatening. Brooks was reported to have fled the scene of the incident but was later apprehended at a house in Dunkirk. No further information has been made available at this time.
