Wells, NY – Two Injured in Head-On Snowmobile Collision
Wells, NY (January 15, 2019) – Forest rangers and EnCon officers were sent to the scene of a snowmobile accident that occurred in the Adirondack Mountains on Saturday, January 12, according to local authorities. Officials stated that the crash occurred when two snowmobilers collided head-on for reasons that are currently unknown.
The two people involved in the accident have been reported as a 14-year-old and a 41-year-old who had been operating their vehicles in the area at an unspecified time. According to authorities, the two parties collided head-on, subsequently ejecting each one from their respective vehicles.
Emergency medical responders assisted rangers at the crash site and carried the injured teen to an ambulance while the adult victim was transported to an ambulance via an ATV. Both parties were promptly taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital with injuries that have been classified as non-life-threatening.
There have been no further details made available as police are likely to be investigating this incident.
