Schenectady, NY – Student Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Accident near Schenectady High School

Schenectady, NY (January 15, 2019) – A serious pedestrian accident that was reported to have resulted in the injury of a student took place on an access road behind Schenectady High School, located at 1445 The Plaza. The collision occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, January 15, according to police.

The specific events that led to the incident are unclear at this time, however, authorities confirmed that the victim is a student at the high school. The unidentified student was stated to have been hit by a vehicle that was possibly being operated by another student during the lunchtime hour.

Police, as well as paramedics, were sent to the scene of the incident in order to evaluate the collision and assist the victim. The injured student was immediately transported to a local hospital and has been listed in serious condition at this time.

The Schenectady Police Department Traffic Division is currently in charge of the investigation into this incident.
