Ellenburg, NY – Two Women Injured in Two-Car Accident at Route 11

Ellenburg, NY (January 12, 2019) – Two women were injured in a two-car accident that took place at Route 11 and Cashman Road. They have since been identified by police.

At the time, police say that 48-year-old Jean Ritchings was driving a Geo Prizm west around 8:51 p.m. when it collided with a Silverado headed northbound, driven by Kevin Guerin.

Ritchings was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a variety of injuries, including rib pain. Her passenger was also taken to the hospital for arm pain.

Guerin received a ticket for failing to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign and failing to stop at a stop sign.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
