Moira, NY – Woman Injured in Intersection Accident in Moira

Moira, NY (January 12, 2019) – A woman from North Bangor was injured in an intersection accident that took place at South Woods Road and McCarthy Road.

At the time, 73-year-old Sharon Currier was the passenger in a Silverado being driven by 70-year-old Robert Currier. The car had been traveling south at the time when an International Harvester plow truck, being driven by 59-year-old Michael Baker, collided with the Silverado. At the time, Baker had been trying to turn right on the road.

Currier was the only person injured in the accident. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital with chest pains.

Baker received a ticket for failing to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign.
