Rochester, NY – Police Respond to Traffic Collision with Injuries on Portland Avenue
Rochester, NY (January 9, 2019) – Local law enforcement in Rochester was called to the scene of a collision, believed to have been between no more than two vehicles, on Wednesday evening, January 9. According to authorities, the crash occurred at around 5:49 p.m. and prompted responses from police as well as emergency medical crews.
Police stated that the accident happened in the northbound and southbound lanes of Portland Avenue at Lansing Street for reasons that have not been determined at this time. Paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and were able to confirm that at least one person suffered injuries in the crash.
Currently, authorities have been unable to elaborate on the conditions of the victim or victims. It is unknown as to whether or not any of those who were involved were hospitalized but further details will be coming soon.
Police are likely to be involved in a thorough investigation into the events that led to this incident at this time.
