Buffalo, NY – Five Hospitalized Following Vehicle Crash with Metro Bus

Buffalo, NY (January 8, 2018) – A collision between a vehicle and a Metro bus was reported to have occurred on Monday night, January 7, leaving five people hospitalized. The crash took place at around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Ash Street and Sycamore Street in Buffalo, according to a representative for NFTA.

Witnesses in the area stated that an unidentified vehicle crashed into the bus for reasons that have not been confirmed at this time. Police along with emergency medical crews were dispatched to the scene where they attended to five individuals who sustained injuries.

All five injured parties were occupants of the bus and identified only as four passengers and the driver. Each of the five victims was immediately transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that have since been classified as non-life-threatening. There has been no word concerning the driver of the other vehicle involved.

Buffalo Police are being assisted in their investigation by Niagara Frontier Transit Police at this time. No further information has been made available.
