East Nassau, NY – Structure Fire Claims One Life on Saddle Back Ridge Road
East Nassau, NY (December 28, 2018) – An early morning structure fire occurred on Friday, December 28, that tragically claimed the life of one individual in East Nassau, according to authorities. The fire, which prompted responses from multiple fire units, took place at a home on Saddle Black Ridge Road at approximately 4:30 a.m.
Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived as the fire had already engulfed the structure. Authorities believe that the cause of the fire was accidental and that no foul play is suspected at this time.
Officials stated that there may have been pets inside, however, that information has not been confirmed. Police have not released the identity of the victim in order to allow time to notify loved ones. No further information has been provided in regards to the cause of the fire or anyone else involved.
