Rochester, NY – Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Garbage Truck
Rochester, NY (December 19, 2018) – Police were called to the scene of a pedestrian accident that was reported to have occurred on Wednesday afternoon, December 19th, between a man and a garbage truck, according to authorities. The injurious collision occurred at around 1:00 p.m. in the area of Chestnut Street and East Avenue.
The injured victim was reported to have been stuck underneath the truck following the accident as police and emergency medical crews were called to the scene. Police stated that the garbage truck had been turning left from East Avenue onto Chestnut Street when it struck the pedestrian for reasons that have not been confirmed.
Firefighters were reported to have pulled the man from underneath the truck before paramedics quickly transported him to a local hospital. The current condition of the victim has not been stated at this time.
No further information has been provided as investigators are actively looking into all of the circumstances that surround this incident.
