Midtown, Manhattan, NY – Hot Dog Cart Burst into Flames Causing Injuries
Midtown, Manhattan, NY (December 19, 2018) – Police are actively investigating the cause of an accident in which a hot dog car caught fire and injured one individual on Tuesday night, December 18. The incident, which may be considered a workplace accident, was stated to have taken place on 45th Street and 6th Avenue shortly after 7:00 p.m.
For reasons that are currently unknown, the cart burst into flames at the aforementioned location and time, prompting emergency responders to the scene. Flames were seen to be burning through a Sabrett-branded umbrella at the scene when crews arrived to assess the situation.
According to authorities, one man had to be transported to a local hospital to be treated for at least minor injuries. The victim was reported to have suffered minor burns.
No further information has been made available as police are actively investigating the cause of this incident.
