Watertown, NY – Collision Involving State Police Trooper Leaves One Woman Injured
Watertown, NY (December 18, 2018) – A woman from Ellisburg was reported to have suffered at least non-life-threatening injuries after a collision with a state police vehicle on Monday, December 17. The collision was reported to have taken place on Interstate 81 in the vicinity of exit 44 at an unspecified time.
According to police, 18-year-old Madison L. Gordinier had been traveling in the left lane of the interstate when she collided with the trooper’s vehicle. The state trooper had just finished with a traffic stop and was reported to have had his emergency flashing lights activated in order to cross into the passing lane and make a U-turn at the time of the crash.
Gordinier was immediately transported to Samaritan Medical Center to be treated for her injuries, however, there has been no mention of her current condition. The trooper involved in the crash was unharmed.
No further details have been released as the investigation into this accident is actively under investigation.
