Columbus, NY – One Person Killed and Several Injured in Fatal Crash
Columbus, NY (December 16, 2018) – Yesterday morning around 1:34 a.m., one person lost their life and several were injured in a fatal crash that took place on County Road 25.
Norwich Police were dispatched to a head-on collision. A 27-year-old had been traveling west when he suddenly crossed into oncoming traffic for reasons that are not known. He died at the scene of the accident. His passenger, a 26-year-old, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The operator of the other involved vehicle was identified as a 46-year-old female who was airlifted to the Upstate Medical Center. She sustained severe injuries but is expected to survive.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
