Brooklyn, NY – Police Investigate Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident

Brooklyn, NY (December 15, 2018) – Police are working on their investigation into a bicycle accident that stemmed from a hit-and-run driver. The accident left the bicyclist dead.

Police were called to the scene around 1 a.m. yesterday morning. The victim was identified as 21-year-old M-Din Rajon, who was riding east on a bike in the bike lane of Pitkin Avenue. The truck made a right turn onto Atkins Avenue and struck the bicyclist.

The cyclist was dragged for several feet before the truck drove off. Rajon was wearing a helmet at the time and was delivering multiple items for a local restaurant in New York.

Rajon was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Investigators are still searching for a white box truck with a dark front cab. It is possible that the truck driver doesn’t know that they struck the cyclist.
