East Fishkill NY – Bizarre Fatal Accident Involving Teen Clinging to SUV Leads to Arrests
East Fishkill, NY (December 13, 2018) – At around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, December 12, police discovered the body of a 15-year-old boy who died due to the extremely negligent actions of two other teenagers. New York State Police stated that the victim was killed after he was seen clinging to the outside of an SUV that was traveling along an unspecified road in East Fishkill.
According to officials, a trooper witnessed the boy, now identified as Wilson Santiago, on the outside of the SUV and turned around in order to assess the situation. While attempting to catch up to the SUV, the trooper came across Wilson lying in the road. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Two teenagers, ages 16 and 17, who were in the SUV at the time of the fatal incident were later arrested and charged with manslaughter. The events that led to this accident are currently unclear as police are continuing their investigation at this time.
