Auburn, NY – Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle near Intersection
Auburn, NY (December 13, 2018) – Early on Thursday morning, December 13, a pedestrian accident with a vehicle sent one person to a hospital in Syracuse, according to authorities. A call to Cayuga County 911stated that the accident occurred at around 5:59 a.m. near an intersection in Auburn.
Authorities said that a woman was attempting to cross North Fulton Street, near the intersection with Franklin Street, when she was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe. The Auburn Police Department along with paramedics were dispatched to the scene where the victim was immediately transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
The victim was reported to be breathing in her own at this time, and her injuries have now been considered non-life-threatening. The driver remained at the scene and no charges have currently been filed. There has been no more information made available concerning this incident.
Police are likely to be involved in an investigation into the events that led to the collision.
