Gowanda, NY – Five Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 438
Gowanda, NY (December 11, 2018) – A crash on Route 438 in the Seneca Nation of Indians Territory in Gowanda was reported to have resulted in several injured people on Monday night, December 10. According to police, the accident occurred at around 8:00 p.m. in the area of the aforementioned roadway.
Police stated that the Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Crash Investigation Unit were called to the scene after two cars collided. The accident took place for reasons that are yet to be determined.
Two people in one of the vehicles were stated to have suffered serious injuries as they were transported to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight. Three occupants of the other vehicle involved were quickly transported to a local hospital via ambulance. The conditions of all five victims have been classified as non-life-threatening at this time.
No further information has been provided as the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
