Spencerport, NY – Update: Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident with Greece Police Officer, Identified

Spencerport, NY (December 10, 2018) – The 52-year-old woman who was tragically struck and killed by a Greece Police Investigator on Saturday night, December 8, has been identified as Lillian Weyanna, of Parma. The accident was initially reported to have taken place on West Ridge Road/Route 104 in Spencerport.

A 17-year veteran of the police force, identified as Investigator Kevin Klump was reported to have been driving along the aforementioned road in an unmarked patrol car when he struck Weyanna. Investigator Klump immediately stopped at the scene and called in the accident.

Emergency medical responders were, unfortunately, unable to save Weyanna as she was pronounced dead a short time after the accident. Investigator Klump has been placed on paid administrative leave at this time.

According to deputies, Weyanna was originally from Alaska, and funeral arrangements are currently being made in her home state. The NewYork State Attorney General’s Office is working on the investigation along with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
