Bath Beach, NY – Body of Firefighter Found After Pedestrian Accident

Bath Beach, NY (December 9, 2018) – In Bath Beach, the body of a firefighter was discovered following a possible pedestrian accident that might have stemmed from a road rage event.

The firefighter was found this morning next to his damaged vehicle on the side of the Belt Parkway. He was quickly identified as 33-year-old Faizal Coto. Police say that the victim had severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say that they received information that, around 5 a.m., Coto’s vehicle collided with a suspect’s vehicle as the two vehicles were merging on the parkway.
