Savannah, NY – Fatal Accident Investigated by Police, One Identified
Savannah, NY (December 9, 2018) – On Friday, December 7 around 6:57 p.m., Wolcott State Police responded to the scene of a fatal accident on State Route 31 in Savannah.
The vehicle operator who lost his life was identified as 21-year-old Travis Burdick, who was traveling westbound at the time when he was involved in an accident, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike an earth embankment. The vehicle then rolled several times.
Burdick was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Wayne County Coroner. There was one other person injured in the accident, identified as an 18-year-old.
Police say that the investigation into the matter continues at this time.
