Staten Island, NY – Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle and Hospitalized Near Port Richmond

Staten Island, NY (December 7, 2018) – According to police on Staten Island, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the vicinity of Port Richmond High School on Friday afternoon, December 7. The accident which was reported to have left one person hospitalized took place at around 3:00 p.m. at an intersection in Staten Island.

Dispatchers sent police along with emergency medical crews to the scene of the accident at Nicholas Avenue and Richmond Terrace. Authorities arrived on the scene and paramedics were stated to have transported the injured victim to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton to be treated for serious injuries.

The condition of the victim has been classified as non-life-threatening at this time, however, no further information has been provided.  Police are actively investigating the events that led to this incident.
