Ithaca, NY – One Person Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Crash
Ithaca, NY (December 7, 2018) – A motor vehicle accident Thursday afternoon, December 6, left one person hospitalized, according to authorities in the city of Ithaca. The accident stated to have taken place at State and Meadow Street was reported to have occurred between two vehicles at around 12:30 p.m.
Police, as well as Bangs Ambulance and local firefighters, were called to the scene of the crash. Upon their arrival, responders found one person trapped inside of a pickup truck that was on its side. Firefighters had to stabilize the vehicle before cutting the roof in order to extricate the victim.
The injured driver was immediately rushed to a regional trauma center by Bangs Ambulance to be treated for her injuries. Traffic was delayed in the area and no one else was reported to have sustained injuries in the accident.
Police are actively investigating the events that led to this accident as no further information has been made available at this time.
