Brooklyn, NY – One Man Struck and Killed by Train in Mapleton
Brooklyn, NY (December 7, 2018) – On Thursday morning, December 6, police were called to the scene of an accident after a man was fatally struck by a train. According to the MTA, the deadly collision took place between a man and an F train a little after 7:00 a.m. at the Avenue I station in Mapleton.
According to police, the events that led to the man ending up on the tracks are unclear at this time, however, criminal activity is not suspected at this time. Police along with paramedics were called to the scene of the accident, although emergency medical responders were unable to save the victim who was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim did not have any identification on him following the incident, and no further details have been made in regards to the cause of the accident or the identity of the victim.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident.
