Altona, NY – Four Injured After Rollover Crash in Utility Task Truck
Altona, NY (December 5, 2018) – On Tuesday afternoon, December 4, an accident involving a utility task truck was reported to have resulted in the hospitalization of four people from Altona, according to authorities. The crash was stated to have taken place at around 3:10 p.m. on a dirt trail off Miner Farm Road.
29-year-old Derek E. Jubert was reported to have been operating a 2018 Textron Havoc UTV northbound when he overturned the vehicle while attempting to make a right turn. Jubert had three passengers with him in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Ian A. Jubert, 4, was ejected from the vehicle, subsequently suffering a pelvic fracture as a result. Ian along with Derek and two other passengers, 6-year-old Owen T. Jubert, and 25-year-old Sara F. Jubert were all taken to CVPH via ambulance. Derek suffered a chest pain due to the accident, and Sara and Owen were evaluated but are believed to be healthy at this time.
No further information has been made available as police are likely looking into the events that led to this incident.
