Lowville, NY – Woman Hurt in Two-Car Collision at Intersection
Lowville, NY (December 3, 2018) – On Saturday night, December 1, two cars were reported to have collided at an intersection in Lowville, resulting in the injuries of a female passenger who was in one of the vehicles. According to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at the intersection of Willow Grove Road and Number Three Road at an unspecified time.
The collision took place when 24-year-old Colten Neubacher, of Calcium, had been driving his Hyundai Tucson along Willow Grove Road and drove through a stop sign at the aforementioned crossroads. Neubacher subsequently cut in front of a Jeep being operated by 41-year-old Torri L. Shirley, of Ilion. Shirley crashed into the driver’s side door of Neubacher’s Tucson as a result.
One passenger in the Tucson, 37-year-old Natalia Echevarria, of Carthage, was reported to have sustained head and hip injuries in the collision. The injured victim was immediately rushed to Lewis County General Hospital by the county Search and Rescue team. No one else had been hurt in the accident.
No further details have been made available and no tickets have been issued as the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
