Staten Island, NY – 65-Year-Old Struck in Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Staten Island, NY (December 2, 2018) – A 65-year-old from Grasmere, identified as Losif Morgenshteyn, was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver when he was fixing a flat tire. The accident took place yesterday, December 1, at a busy Brooklyn intersection.

The accident happened at the intersection of East 28 Street and Shore Parkway around 6:24 p.m. last evening. Morgenshteyn was suddenly struck by a vehicle while changing his tire.

EMS provided emergency care and transported the pedestrian to the NYC Health + Hospitals, where he was sadly pronounced deceased. The vehicle fled the scene but was later found without its driver.

Now, the New York City Police Department is investigating the accident.
