Sempronious, NY – Pickup Truck Driver in Critical Condition After Accident

Sempronious, NY (December 2, 2018) – One person was seriously injured in a pickup truck accident in Sempronious. The driver of the truck is now in critical condition following the Friday afternoon accident.

The accident took place around 2:45 p.m. when a crash took place between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck. It happened at the intersection of Sayles Corners Road. One driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while the other did not receive injuries.

48-year-old Stephen Zelsnack failed to stop at a stop sign, running into the tractor-trailer that was driven by 55-year-old Timothy Shattuck. Zelsnack was critically injured and taken to the hospital.

The roadway was closed down for quite some time while crews worked the scene. At this time, the cause is still under investigation.
