Queens, NY – Vehicle Speeding on Highway Involved in Rollover Crash
Queens, NY (December 1, 2018) – Around 1 a.m. in the morning, police responded to a rollover crash involving a white Ford Fusion and a Department of Transportation vehicle on the Long Island Expressway.
At the time, the Fusion driver had been traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed and lost control, striking a DOT vehicle and flipping multiple times. The speeding Fusion careened the entire length of the exit ramp.
The vehicle came to rest on the Horace Harding Parkway. The driver was quickly transported to the hospital but, unfortunately, died of his injuries en route to the hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
