Ghent, NY – Two Injured in Car Accident Involving Sheriff’s Patrol Car
Ghent, NY (November 26, 2018) – Early Sunday evening, November 25, two vehicles, including a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office patrol car, were involved in a motor vehicle accident on Route 9H. The crash was stated to have occurred at around 5:47 p.m., a little north of County Route 20 in Ghent.
The accident which was stated to have resulted in at least minor injuries occurred on Route 9H for reasons that have not yet been verified, according to authorities. Police were sent to the scene of the crash along with emergency medical personnel to assist those involved in the wreck.
Police stated that the occupants of both vehicles involved in the accident were promptly transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital with at least minor injuries. The exact condition of the victims is not known at this time.
There has been no further information made available in regards to the cause of this crash or the individuals involved.
