Chenango County, NY – Pedestrian Critically Injured in Accident on Upper Front Street
Chenango County, NY (November 25, 2018) – According to the New York State Police, a pedestrian accident that occurred on Friday night, November 23, sent a man in his 60’s to a hospital. The accident took place at around 6:22 p.m. when a motor vehicle struck the man on Upper Front Street in Chenango County.
According to police, there is no marked crosswalk in the area where they were dispatched in order to assess the incident. Paramedics were sent to the scene of the accident in order to assist the injured victim who was transported to Wilson Hospital with head trauma.
The extent of the victims’ injuries is unknown at this time, as the events that led to this accident are currently being investigated by local authorities.
According to state police, they do not currently expect the driver who struck the victim to be ticketed for the collision.
