Amherst, NY – Pedestrian Struck and Injured on Niagara Falls Boulevard
Amherst, NY (November 25, 2018) – Saturday evening, November 24, Amherst Police responded to an incident involving a male pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Niagara Falls Boulevard. The accident was reported to have occurred at the corner of Greenhaven Terrace at a time that was not specified.
According to authorities, the victim has been identified as 45-year-old Mark Buffington. The driver of a 2013 Honda who struck Buffington at the aforementioned corner has only been identified as a 20-year-old male from Cheektowaga.
Paramedics arrived at the scene in order to attend to Buffington who was immediately transported to Erie County Medical Center to undergo treatment. Buffington has been listed in stable condition at this time. Amherst Police along with Town of Tonawanda Police were called to the scene.
No charges have been filed, according to authorities, however, the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
