Hamilton Heights, NY – Driver Hits and Injures EMT and Patient
Hamilton Heights, NY (November 23, 2018) – An apparent road rage incident occurred on Thursday night, November 22, that resulted in the injuries of an EMT and a patient who the EMT was assisting at the time. The accident was reported to have occurred on West 151st Street in the Hamilton Heights section of Manhattan at an unspecified time.
According to authorities, EMT’s were helping a 67-year-old man who had been having breathing issues when the patient and one of the EMT’s were struck by a vehicle. 34-year-old Kevin Green was stated to have become angry with an ambulance that was blocking traffic in the area, according to police.
The accident is considered a road rage incident as Green slammed on the gas in frustration and ended up striking the patient, breaking his legs while also causing at least minor injuries to an EMT. Green has since been charged with vehicular assault for his actions.
