Hamburg, NY – 5-Year-Old Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Woodview Avenue
Hamburg, NY (November 23, 2018) – According to police in the village of Hamburg, a small, 5-year-old child was tragically struck and killed by on vehicle on the afternoon of Thanksgiving, November 22, on Woodview Avenue. The unfortunate accident was reported to have occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m.
According to authorities, the child was reported to have been hit by a car, although exactly where the child was or why they were struck has yet to be verified. Police and emergency medical crews were quickly at the scene to render aid to the victim, however, the child sadly passed away from the injuries suffered during the accident.
It has not been stated as to whether or not the victim died at the scene or at a later time in a hospital. More information is likely to be made available as soon as the details are known.
Police are actively conducting a full investigation into this incident.
