Brooklyn, NY – Fiery Four-Car Wreck Kills One and Injures Five on Brooklyn Bridge
Brooklyn, NY (November 21, 2018) – Wednesday morning, November 21, a large fiery crash involving four vehicles took place on the Brooklyn Bridge. One was tragically killed as five others suffered various injuries as a result of the devastating collision which was reported to have taken place a little after 7:00 a.m.
The accident occurred on the Brooklyn side of the bridge between four cars. Three of the vehicles involved became engulfed in flames after the impact of the collision. Numerous witnesses reported having seen the flames and smoke billowing into the air following the deadly wreck.
The events that led to the accident have not been released at this time but multiple rescue crews were quickly on the scene to assist the victims. One person was sadly pronounced dead as five others suffered injuries, however, the conditions of the wounded victims have not been made available.
The collision caused the bridge to close for at least an hour as traffic backups continued down nearby roads for a while longer. No further details concerning the individuals involved or the cause of the crash have been released.
Police are actively involved in an ongoing investigation.
