Binghamton, NY – Hit-and-Run Accident Injures Man on Saddlemire Road
Binghamton, NY (November 19, 2018) – A hit-and-run accident that was reported to have sent one injured victim to a hospital in Binghamton is currently being investigated by police. The injurious pedestrian accident was reported to have taken place in the early morning hours on Monday, November 19, at around 2:50 a.m.
According to authorities, a man who was delivering newspapers along Saddlemire Road at Noyes Road was reported to have been struck by a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident and did not stick around to offer assistance to the victim or cooperate with authorities.
Emergency medical professionals who arrived on the scene immediately transported the injured man to a local hospital for treatment. Troopers stated that the victims’ injuries seem to be non-life-threatening at this time.
The victim told officials that he did not remember the events of the collision but that the vehicle involved may likely have damage to the front driver’s side. No further details have been made available.
