Beekmantown, NY – Man Struck by Vehicle in Bicycle Accident

Beekmantown, NY (November 18, 2018) – In Beekmantown, a Plattsburgh man suffered a serious arm injury when he was slightly struck by a vehicle in a bicycle accident. The accident took place around 2:08 p.m. on Route 9.

At the time, police reported that 40-year-old Keefe Casler had been riding his bicycle when he was struck by a 71-year-old named Sandra Barcomb. The vehicle had passed the bicyclist in the same direction and struck him in the side-view mirror.

Casler was immediately transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment. Barcomb, on the other hand, was ticketed for failure to maintain their lane.

Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
