Bay Shore, NY – 81-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies After Fatal Accident
Bay Shore, NY (November 17, 2018) – Police reported that an 81-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed in a fatal accident in Bay Shore this past week. Police responded to the scene and found that the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The pedestrian has been identified as 81-year-old Gloria Prietto, who had been walking on the south service road of the Sunrise Highway around the area of Redmond Avenue at the time. She was struck by a dump truck.
The truck driver stayed at the scene of the accident to cooperate with police and was not charged. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
