West Nyack, NY – One Person Injured in Train Accident Involving Vehicle
West Nyack, NY (November 4, 2018) – One person received serious injuries in a train accident when a northbound CSX train struck a vehicle yesterday morning, November 3. The accident took place around 7:30 a.m. in West Nyack.
The accident occurred at the Pineview Road crossing, according to Clarkstown Police. The male driver inside the passenger vehicle was taken to the Nyack Hospital with a variety of injuries. Nobody on the train was injured in the accident.
Police are trying to determine why the vehicle was on the tracks and why the accident occurred. They continue to investigate at this time.
