Cedarhurst, NY – Two Boys on Scooter Plow into Man in Pedestrian Accident
Cedarhurst, NY (November 4, 2018) – Police confirmed that two teenagers plowed into a man in a serious pedestrian accident in front of a Chinese restaurant. The accident took place on Central Avenue in Cedarhurst.
At the time, the owner of the restaurant was leaving the building for Sabbath service when the two teenagers came by riding their electric scooter and collided with the man. The accident was captured on surveillance video.
The impact was so forceful that the boys were knocked from their scooter. However, they hopped back on and fled the scene. The 54-year-old was left with a serious leg injury.
Police say that, though they have not yet arrested the two, the driver was between 15-17 and the passenger was between 10-13. They were both wearing white shirts and black pants.
Detectives are still searching for the two responsible.
